BGSBU professors are listed in the “Global AD Scientific Index-2021”

Jammu, October 27: Six scientists, including faculty members from Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah Rajouri University (BGSBU) are listed in the Global AD (Alper-Doger) Scientific Index 2021.

The ranking is based on the total values ​​and the last 5 years of the i10 index, h index and citation scores in Google Scholar. In other words, the “AD Scientific Index” provides both academic ranking and analytical results.

The six scientists, including BGSBU faculty members, who were on the Global Scientists List included Dr Arif Tasleem Jan, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, Dr Feroz Ahmad Mir, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Dr Shreekar Pant, Environmental Sciences, Dr Rakeeb Ahmed Mir, Department of Biotechnology, Dr Tanvver ul Hasan Dar, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology and Dr Ramesh Pandita, Library Sciences.

BGSBU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Akbar Masood congratulated the scientists and faculty members for being placed in the Global Indexing List. Prof Akbar said: “It is a feeling of great honor and pride to us that our faculty members and scientists have received a global reorganization for their outstanding research.” Prof Akbar said recent rankings are a testament to the impact of the university’s faculty on advancing scientific and technological research.

Professor Akbar said that faculty members have been recognized not only for the quantity of their publications, but also for the quality of their academic work, which has greatly influenced the production of knowledge in their fields, measured by the number citations for each post, among other metrics.
