NIT Warangal increases doctoral places from this year

Hyderabad: The Warangal National Institute of Technology (NIT-W) has increased the number of doctoral places from 150 to 200 for the 2021-22 academic year.

The institute will offer full-time and part-time doctoral programs in 13 departments, including civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electronic and communications engineering, metallurgical and materials engineering, chemical engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Humanities and Social Sciences and School of Management.

According to a report by Telangana today, NIT-W Director Prof. NV Ramana Rao said: “Applicants selected for doctoral admission under the full-time program are eligible to receive a scholarship from the Institute in accordance with the rules of the Ministry of Education. However, the institute’s scholarships are subject to change from time to time on instruction from the Union Ministry of Education.

Reservations for doctoral places for EWS, OBC, SC, ST, PWD will be made in accordance with Center guidelines, the institute has also introduced new integrated science courses. The institute will now offer three new M.Sc. Programs – Integrated M.Sc in Mathematics, Integrated M.Sc in Physics and Integrated M.Sc in Chemistry this academic year (2021-22) in accordance with the new National Education Policy ( CIP) -2020. All of these programs are five years, applicants will receive MSc degrees in their respective branches upon completion.

However, students are free to leave the programs after completing a three-year bachelor’s degree, as they pass all subjects and meet all requirements. It should be noted that professors and researchers performed well in 2021, with 1,000 publications in a calendar year.
